MICCIAH CHANNEL: JULIE WINTER
Produced by Jon Child

Transcript of Program 124, 1987 & 89  [CC]

Some of Julie’s early work in channel from 1987 and 1989 where Micciah discusses:
How we form reality: Whether aware of it or not, we are always simultaneously sending and receiving. Our core beliefs determine how we attune, which threads we “pluck” from the “matrix of paradoxical occurrences” to form our reality with. View Section
Being vulnerable in a city like New York: “It is a different life challenge. You are trying in your time to bring together the risk, the gentleness, the clarity.... and the compassion.... of spirit with ordinary life in the marketplace.” View Section
The future of New York: This city is “a volcano.” Its temperament as a place-entity is volatile, changeable. It expresses fear on behalf of other parts of the country; will respond quickly to love and healing. Most urgent: take care of the people. View Section
“Something about bliss”: “When you are alert to your soul’s purpose ... you are following your bliss.” View Section

Micciah: We greet you all, dear friends.

Julie: My Name is Julie Winter, and this program is called Micciah Channel.
And what you are going to see is me, going into an altered state of consciousness, a non ordinary state of awareness. And what I believe happens when I am in that state is that I enter an expanded geography of the self, and that there is an overlap between what I know (my intelligence, my awareness, my experience) and something that is larger than my ordinary awareness. It may indeed be that it is all part of my awareness and that would be fine. What’s produced is a personality that is a product of this overlapping and the personality is called Micciah.
My voice is going to change and it is my own voice. The variations in speech have to do with my being in an altered state.
The program is created from my classes. My students bring questions in. We encourage you to ask questions, to ask questions about channeling, about my channeling, whatever. And use your discernment in evaluating the information that comes through.

   ----------

The program that you are about to see is made up of a number of different class sessions.

Micciah: We greet you all, dear friends. We are most happy to be with you.
You know you are, as human organisms, always both sending and receiving. You’re not even doing it simultaneously in your awareness. But though the simultaneity of sending and receiving is lost from conscious awareness, still it exists in dream time, in the dream world; it exists in some states of meditation (that is to say, you become aware of it). It exists in some states when the brain and the nervous system are affected by drugs, hallucinogenic drugs. And it is the simultaneity of, ah — receiving and sending ... that creates ... the mobile fusion out of which you pluck your reality.
So you exist in the midst of a matrix of paradoxical occurrences. And your conscious mind plucks threads or, ah — bits — or bites — no, bits — out of this totality, and forms a reality that is created through your core beliefs: that is, the conscious tuning of You as an entity comes through your core beliefs. Beliefs are like tuning devices.
   Is this too ... abstract?

   Christine: No.

Micciah: Do you get it, generally?

   Students: Yes. Yes.

Micciah: And this will have, ah — bearing; this attuning through your beliefs will have bearing on the way in which you construct reality. Therefore, when you become observant of the actuality of your beliefs and you then shift them, you are shifting the entire tuning system. And when that changes, the way in which you pluck from this simultaneous broadcast-and-reception system also changes.
Now: this is just a piece of a model. Yet we want you to know that you participate wholly and fully in the perceived creation of your own reality.
Yet ... observing your beliefs is everything from a most subtle and exquisite process to, ah — nothing more subtle than being pounded on the head with a mallet. And when we say that you pluck reality from the vaaastness of this multiple tuning- receiving, we do not refer to the You of your ego.
There’s nothing wrong with your ego. You need a strongly functioning one, a resiliently functioning one, in order to BE in the world. But that is not the layer of the self that creates the tuning. Do you understand? All the ego can do — all the identified, individuated self can do — is help support the rest of you in opening to the One.
So. We will stop now and take your questions, because you have many of them and we could continue in this vein for quite a long time.

   ----------

Julie: Stop for a moment. Take a breath. Notice how you feel and what your responses are to the information that you have just seen. Do you need to go over it? Think about it? Integrate it? Look around the room you’re in. And in just a moment we’re going to go back and look at some more taped sessions of Micciah Channel.

   ----------

Mary: Micciah, I have a hard time with trying to remain open in such a big city as New York without becoming too vulnerable.

Micciah: Yes. Those of you who have chosen to live here at the edge of the volcano have chosen a very particular path. In other times, people who wished to immerse themselves in spirit went away. Yes? They went into monasteries. They went to the tops of mountains. They retreated. This was no accident. They sought environments where the whole weaving of the environment supported, uh, their unfolding into spirit.
Now this is not true of every teaching. No. Shamans in most cultures were very much a part of the group, of the tribe, of the people, although they did often go on power journeys. Medicine men and women went on journeys, went off by themselves to journey, which you can certainly do as well as living in the city. And the witches lived in communities. And were most reverent toward everyday occurrences. Babies and runny noses and dying bodies. But in many traditions, the spiritual work was carried on in a cloistered situation.
So, here you have chosen such a turbulent and violent situation. But it is also so full, so ripe, so potent, such a challenge that you have to weave your way through the environment, finding safe stopping places to rest and then going back out into the fray. It is a different life challenge.
You are trying in your time, in what you perceive as your time, to bring together the risk and the spontaneity and the compassion, the gentleness, the clarity and ruthlessness of spirit with ordinary life in the marketplace. And this is no easy trick, so we don’t have an easy answer. If you are going to live in a city such as this one you do need places that are resting places, you need time by yourself with very little stimulation. Otherwise you will be caught, hurled around in the maelstrom. And it is like the stories of old where beings walked among great dangers in the forest.
So you know that all the danger you encounter is a mirror of some still unclaimed aspect of the whole body of humankind. And in the city you are looking at the mirror, all the time you are looking. In the country too, but it is... It has its own dilemmas, but it is on a day-to-day basis a great deal more restful. That sort of goes around your question, Mary, it doesn’t really answer it, but there isn’t really an answer.

   ----------

Julie: OK, I’m back again. Take a break. Look around the room at the slice of reality that you are in at this moment. Take a breath. Let yourself relax. Shake out. And we’re going to go back and look at some more Micciah Channel.

   ----------

Pamela: Several months ago we as a class, Micciah, had a vision of the future of New York —

   Micciah: Yes.

Pamela: — which was very disturbing to some of us; although there seemed to be two different visions. One included scenes of devastation, and the other seemed to be more harmonious and peaceful. But even that one seemed to be a little ghostly in its character. So I wanted to ask — what was the meaning of this vision? Was it something — ah — real? What were we seeing? Because we saw these things individually — and if so, what’s the best attitude towards it?

Micciah: Well ... in the physical dimension, you appear to have only one thing happening at a time, yes? The events of the world seem to be strung together like beads on a necklace — one following the other. That is your perception of it.
Once you are outside the physical realm (and it is not even true of the physical realm, but it mostly appears to be) — once you are outside of the physical, you have multiple probabilities, which are all real.
So, you saw — really more than two; you saw several probable future scenarios involving New York City, which were then, additionally, colored by the attitude of the observer. So that one individual, observing an empty street, might say, “Oh, it is ghostly!” and another might say, “Ah, it is peaceful and harmonious” — given, simply, the condition “empty street.”
Your city — which as we have said before is a volcano (those who live in New York are similar to those who live at the edge, on the rim, of active volcanoes. Sometimes these villages where volcanoes have been active for many years are seen on the news; you contemplate them and say, “Why don’t these people move?”

   [Laughter]

You are very much like the villagers. And you are living with an active volcano: make no mistake about it) — your city can use all the love it can get. And it is in the characteristic of this particular place (because, you know, geographical places have, ah — temperaments, just as people do) it is in the characteristic of this place to be very mobile, changeable. It is full of the capacity for spontaneous regeneration.
So! It will absorb, as a place-entity, all of the love you can give it — and that love creates seeds that are immensely fertile and that grow like kudzu!
This city is not resistant to change. So for those of you who are in it, and any others who wish to participate: build the belief, broadcast the belief, of its — wellness. Most particularly, again, around fear. What is it that people say, outside New York, about New York? “Oh, it is so dangerous!” It is a lot of other things as well: lively, fertile, outrageous; but it is en-dangered by the fear, that is indeed very overt here. You see, it is as if New York acted like a conduit for not only itself but many other areas of the country, where unexpressed, more subdued fears pour through this geographical location — like a place on the body; or, in a family, the way one person will be the expressive one, the volatile one: that is New York.
What is most important for the well-being of this city is to take care of people — to start taking action toward feeding people, clothing people, housing people. Put out your love and your effort and your attention toward TAKING CARE. And the city can sort of reassemble its consciousness very quickly.
Yet it is in the balance. It is in the balance — as so much of the planet is. Swaying in the balance.
We would like to say something about bliss.
   [Pause]
When you are alert ... to your soul’s purpose; when you are alert ... to that; when you have hopefully, gently, peeled away the layers of group belief and, perhaps, negative family beliefs — ideas you picked up in the broadcast and have solidified so you are wearing them around; when these begin to melt and dissolve, and you are aware of your soul’s purpose, and you are able to meet fear with some sense of Spirit supporting you — then you are following your bliss.
The question does come up: how can someone in the midst of, ah — starvation, or being bombed, constantly threatened, follow their bliss? We will perhaps begin there next time.
We do hope you will continue to investigate and to explore, inquire, meditate, celebrate ... despair, and come back again to your path.
We share with you all much energy and much love.
And we bid you a very good evening.

Julie: That’s the end of this particular segment... of this particular adventure. And this channeling is meant to be a spiritual, emotional, intellectual, heartful, mindful journey that I share with another realm, that I share with my classes and that we all share with you.
Please go over the material, evaluate it for yourself, and know what it is that you think about it.
