Answer to a question about knowing the difference between inner voices of the ego and higher sources of intuition.

Judith: I would like to have better understanding of how to better make a decision when there are multiple voices in my head, some of which are coming from ego and some of which are coming from a higher source, an intuitive source. And how do I know the difference, so that I can make a decision that really will foster a positive outcome?

Micciah: By cultivating presence. The practice of presence, and of silence supports your capacity to differentiate between the voice of the ego and its, perhaps, demands. The ego is always ready to tell you, “Now hear this!” The  practice of presence and silence allows you to attune to the intuitive stream more skillfully, so you really will experience its presence. You will know that you know. And having the courage, heart courage, to, when you discern, “OK, this is my intuition, this is my guidance” to try it out. Pay attention. Experiment with it.
It is possible, it is possible when you are engaging your ego as your ally to get support in making time—seems to be a theme today—to be quiet. One way… Another way to discern when the body of the ego is directing you in ways that are not helpful (we were saying this last week in class) notice if you are attached. Attached to the outcome. Always a clue, that your ego is involved in a non-helpful way.
It’s easy to talk about all these things. These are deep practices that take commitment, and as the Buddhist say, determination. The more you nourish your connection with guidance and intuition, respect it, go to it, try it, try the suggestions, the more vibrant it become and the clearer it becomes. What’s what? Which is what? What is which? In issues that are very fraught for you personally it is always good to have a group like this so you can check it with someone. “This is my intuition. Could you support me? What is your intuition about this?” Because, when the emotions are fraught the ego, trying to protect you and itself, is more likely to jangle the message.< br>   Is that a satisfactory response for the moment?

   Judith: Thank you.

   Micciah: You are welcome.

ONSCREEN VISUAL DISCLAIMER:
Julie: “What I believe happens when I am channeling is that I enter an expanded geography of the self, and that there is an overlap between what I know (my intelligence, my awareness, my experience) and something that is larger than my ordinary awareness. It may indeed be that it is all part of my awareness and that would be fine. What’s produced is a personality that is a product of the overlapping and the personality is called Micciah.
This channeling is meant to be a spiritual, emotional, intellectual, heartful, mindful journey that I share with another realm, that I share with my classes and that we all share with you. Please go over the material, evaluate it for yourself, and know what it is that you think about it.”
