Some of Julie’s early work in channel from 1987 where Micciah discusses Trust, Choice and Change:
Cultivating trust in an intimate relationship: “The more deeply you trust yourself as a representative of life energy, the more you will trust another human being.” Trusting another involves risk and experimentation. View Section
How to cultivate trust during times of great change: Sometimes there is a moment of great awakening, and your perception of everything shifts. Sometimes you must remind yourself through affirmation and other concrete activities that “I trust myself and I trust spirit in my life.” View Section
Are walk-ins an actual exchange of entities in a physical body or a sudden elevation of consciousness? It appears to be the latter, “.... an opening in the crown.... and a flooding with the knowledge of the greater self.” View Section
Trusting one’s path in spite of obstacles: Look for the teaching in the obstacles! View Section

Micciah: We greet you all, dear friends.

Julie: We do greet you, indeed. This is Micciah Channel, and I’m Julie Winter. Micciah is an energy entity who works with me while I’m in trance, and while I’m in the trance state I have access to a point of view that seems to come from a non-physical realm. This series of programs is drawn primarily from videotapes taken during my regular classes. We want to expand our circle and include your energy and interest in our work.

Micciah: We greet you all, dear friends. And we are most pleased to be with you. Now. What would you like to discuss?

Jennifer: Micciah, I’d like for you to talk a little about how does one cultivate trust in a long-term relationship.

Micciah: The longest term relationship you are going to have is with yourself. And nourishing trust begins right with you and with the ways you trust or mistrust yourself, your creaturehood, as Seth would say. Your body, your beingness. The more deeply you trust yourself as a representative of life energy, the more you will trust another human being. In... You are talking about what kind of relationship, Jennifer?

   Jennifer: Romantic.

Micciah: Ah. [laughter] Well, romance is not so... Romance in the way you construe it is mostly a fiction, but, uh, [laughter] we will say in the long-term intimate relationship, although it might be significant that you call it romantic, there is not too much trustworthy in romance. It’s mostly — what is that? — cotton candy. [laughter]
However, one of the richest and most complex challenges on this plane of action, the earth, has to do with trusting the self, as an ongoing process, and being trusting of other people. And the trust is nourished through experimentation, among other things. In a sealed kind of relationship, where there is fear, where the relationship is encircled by fear, there is not room for trust to grow because there is no experimentation. So, another key to growing in trust, deepening and widening in trust, is risking. To follow in a relationship, to follow along a path of revealing one’s self, letting the mask melt, revealing your heart, experimenting with different possibilities. All of those risks, little by little, nourish trust. You cannot trust without building the experience. Unless you are so completely permeated by spirit that there is no room for anything else.... this language is sticky, very sticky, but we will continue. Unless you are so permeated by spirit that there is no room for anything else, it is a sabotage to require yourself to trust someone without building it. It is.... an architecture of the heart. You will not serve them nor will you serve yourself to count on someone’s responses. We don’t mean that it has to be proven, exactly. But that just like observing the weather, or observing the natural world and being in alignment with that, you need to observe what happens in the dancing of or the opening of the self. We can’t give you a prescription. Does that make sense?

Jennifer: Yes. It’s very helpful. Thanks.

   Micciah: Hmm.

Julie: Okay, stop for a moment and pay attention to what your response is to the information that’s just been channeled. Does it seem to be comfortable, right and appropriate for you? Would you like to think about it further? What does your body feel like right now? What is your breath like right now? And now we’re going to go back and do some more channeling.
Margaret: Micciah, in times of like great transition when almost everything in your life has changed and you need to make some major decisions, I know that trusting in yourself would really help, but how do you develop that trust when you don’t know what to do?

Micciah: Yes. [exhales] How do you do that? You [pause] ... Sometimes there is a very clear opening as one might have in an initiation experience or with a guru or through powerful dreamwork, some kernel that the great self has organized with the cooperation of the personality. You fall into that kernel; it shimmers around you, it engulfs you. And the experiences of that time, out of time, permeate every aspect of your being, and after that your relationship to trust is different. So sometimes there is a sudden awakening. And then you go back to ordinary life, you know, to chop wood and carry water. [laughter] And you bring that experience with you. So sometimes it is a sudden awakening that comes upon you, and the whole lens of your understanding shifts. That is one possibility.
Sometimes trust seems to desert you and there is no trick except to remind yourself in any way that comes to hand, speaking it, reading about it, speaking with friends, that you are always safe and protected. And you may have to start, maybe at the polar opposite of this radiant experience of falling into the kernel. It may be 180 degrees away. All you can do is to begin with a relatively mechanical statement, a speaking of, “I trust myself and I trust spirit in my life.” And begin to work with that statement even though you don’t really feel it. Not to pretend but to remind yourself. Because in you somewhere, in every one of you, in all of you, is that memory, that remembering that you remember that you do know that it is possible to trust. [pause] And sometimes a release of feeling will lead you toward trust. Letting yourself be with your vitality as it expresses itself through feeling. [pause] So those are some ways.

   Margaret: Okay. Thank you.

Micciah: And you can ask your dreams to speak to you, to support you. The dream realm is potent because there are no barriers of the kind that you experience in waking life. This is a dream too, of course. In that realm, this is the dream. [laughter]

Julie: Okay. Again, I’ve just done a chunk of channeling. Stop for a moment and pay attention to what your internal response is to what you have just seen and heard. What do you feel like with this information? How do you see it? How does the hearing of it strike you personally? Notice your breathing. Notice the way your body feels. Okay. Now we’re going to go back to the rest of the program.

Ida: Micciah, could you please explain what a walk-in is? Is there an actual exchange of entities in the physical body? Or is it more like an elevation of consciousness and an expansion of inner knowledge?

Micciah: Well, we would say that what the phenomenon that has been written about as a walk-in — It’s a discouraging phrase [laughter] — is not another entity, but it is a dramatic influx of the kind we have just described, or akin to it, where the personality self, the focus personality which is part of a greater sphere, [pause] arranges to open quite suddenly, as you would count time, to the whole intelligence of its totality. As if you had a little opening here, in the crown, and it was... suddenly you pulled the stopper out. And you were flooded with the knowledge of the greater self. Then what appeared in the physical world as your focus personality would be much enlarged, far more adept, skillful, compassionate. And it isn’t another being. It is your own being in its fullest capacity. So, from our point of view it isn’t another person, so to speak, or another.... entity.
Hmmm. When you do what you call channeling, when “this one” does what she calls channeling, she allows her focus personality to dissolve a little around the edges and, uh, an aspect of an alternate understanding comes in. And this is a kind of expansion but it is also a kind of contraction, because it would be very hard for her to do the ironing like this. [laughter] So, it is useful in its place. It is not an improvement over the focus personality and her purpose, it is part of it; it is an, an addition. We want you to see that this is, to stay in the expansion/contraction metaphor, an expansion and also a contraction. It would not be lovely to be this way all the time. You couldn’t feed the cats, and they wouldn’t like that at all. [laughter] So... If there is a walk-in, who is the walk-out? [laugher] But there are people who undergo enormous, dramatic changes. And we think that, from this point of view that is what happens.

Julie: Okay, back again. How do you feel right now? Notice the way what Micciah and I have just channeled has affected you personally. What is your personal response to it? Take a breath, get your bearings. Now we can go back and do some more.

Ann: When a person feels like they’re absolutely on their correct path and it seems as though there are blocks that keep being put in the way of that path, how can you keep trusting that that is the path you need to be on?

Micciah: This sounds like one question, but it is actually five or six questions together! Sometimes obstacles are a way of increasing your skill in, uh, leaping. Sometimes obstacles are a way of teaching the self patience. Or when you have an idea about what you want and you want to rush there, faster than you can integrate going, then you put up something to slow you down. Sometimes what you are calling obstacles are, uh, contain within them an essence that will contribute to the very journey you are on. None of them are extraneous! You have an idea in your mind that you, this is what you want and you want to go directly there; and anything that doesn’t fit the mind’s image, picture, of the way through — get rid of it! But, we say to you, life is your teacher. That doesn’t mean some of life; it means all of life. So, the obstacle, although you have one word, “obstacle,” it does not represent only one set of possibilities. And it could represent a number of possibilities; different obstacles could have a different purpose for the same person. [pause] Mm. [pause] And sometimes, it is really more habit, you have a deeply ingrained habit of.... or a core belief, an inner belief, that life must be very hard, and you simply chuck stuff in the way because that belief hasn’t melted yet. So it could be any one of a number of things. And sometimes, of course, the very things you thought were obstacles turn out to be the whole point. [laughter]
So, we will leave you with that. This is a time of choosing for all of you who are part of the earth family, of the planetary family. This is a fertile time when group changes in consciousness are being made. Group, group awareness is always present. And there are seed points... I’m not explaining this very well, but it is as if.... there was the opportunity for many, many people, for group Mind, mind with a capital M, to fall into this kernel that we described earlier. So... We share with you all much energy and much love. And we bid you a very good evening.

Julie: I want to remind you that the channeling that I do with Micciah is really an ongoing exploration; in watching and listening, you’re part of the exploration. So the work is here and it is our intention to share it with those of you who watch. You need to evaluate it for yourselves, to go over the information, to assess what feels right to you, use what feels right and let the rest go.

Julie: “This channeling is meant to be a spiritual, emotional, intellectual, heartful, mindful journey that I share with another realm, that I share with my classes and that we all share with you. Please go over the material, evaluate it for yourself, and know what it is that you think about it.”
