Some of Julie’s early work in channel in 1987 where Micciah discusses:
• What happens when we die? How do we resolve our fears about death? Death is much like the dream state. There is a release of fear, of physical perceptions. Then you choose endeavors... of teaching, travel among dimensions, sharing knowledge with those still in the physical realm. We need to talk about our fears, to read about dying, to celebrate, to tell the truth.
• What happens when people are kept alive on life support who have no hope of recovery? They are in dream time, or another dimension; they are in their bodies very little.
Micciah: We greet you all, dear friends.
Julie: We do greet you, indeed. This is Micciah Channel, and I’m Julie Winter. Micciah is an energy entity who works with me while I’m in trance, and while I’m in the trance state I have access to a point of view that seems to come from a non-physical realm. This series of programs is drawn primarily from videotapes taken during my regular classes. We want to expand our circle, and include your energy and interest in our work.
What you are going to see is me, with my personality and intelligence, awareness, go into an altered state. While I'm in that altered state, I join with other energies, or another energy, and produce the personality of Micciah. And I have, in that state, an awareness that I don't ordinarily have. And I'm going to respond to questions that my classes have asked me.
Micciah: What are your questions?
Carol: First we have a question, Micciah, about death. What happens to us after we die? And how can we support a person who is facing their own death or approaching their own death, especially if, if I as a person trying to support someone who’s going to die have fears of my own?
Carol: And if neither of us has really resolved a clear, peaceful picture of death.
Micciah: Well, what happens when you die? Nothing much. And, uh, it is to the utter amazement of many who leave their bodies, who believe something will happen, that they are dead. And there are those who greet entities as they move into that realm following physical life to help them know that they are indeed in another dimension, which is what it really is; that they are safe and beloved.
When we say nothing much happens we are joking in a certain way. And there are those in the physical world who assist people as they cross over, assist them either consciously through meditation which takes a certain kind of training, or, more frequently in your culture, assist them in the dream world. This one (points to herself as Julie), when she was quite young, began to meet people in the dream state to help them as they crossed into that other or next dimension and reassured them. In many cultures there were those who were trained to guide people across the river, as the saying goes, and then to come back to the physical world.
So, what happens? Well, first of all, you are no longer subject to physical law, even though as you know from our perspective your beliefs about physical law are quite rigid. There are many occurrences which transpire outside of what you would call physical law, miraculous healing, levitation, fire walking and so forth. At any rate, you have the experience of being outside of physical cause and effect as you have understood it. So, in that regard it is more like the dream state. You know in the dream if you wish to float up to the top of a building, why you can do so. Nothing will stop you. If you wish to have a lily pond appear in the middle of your living room (snaps fingers), you can do so. Nothing will stop you.
So, the rules are much more like the dream world. To...language is going to be tricky...to imagine something, to create something in that dimension is to have it spring up before you. There is no waiting time. And you have access to what would be physically impossible. The images as thought forms, the accustomed thought forms that you bring into that world, are the ones you got from here at least initially. Yes? So, you are still playing with thought forms that duplicate the kinds of forms that you can create in the physical world: rivers, mountains, people, pussy cats, friends, lovers, buildings, et cetera.
Yet, in that realm you are not restricted to those forms and you begin to be able to conceive of other forms that are emotional forms...there is feeling in that dimension...that are sound forms...you could say in a certain sense everything has a sound: buildings and turtles and everything. These are forms that come direct, that you are aware of creating through vibrational intensities.
And there is a release often immediate in a time sense, there is a release of fear. When you leave your body in the state that you call death, you are no longer subject to the fears that are such a riddle in this realm.
Often people who have been clinically dead, physically, and returned to the physical world remark on the intense brilliant enveloping passionate quality of love that they feel. The great light or being embraced. That experience is just as possible here, but you separate yourself from it through fear, and when what we are calling the riddle of fear begins to be solved or resolved in this dimension you have glimpses and experiences of the same sort of well being, that you are safe, you have always been safe, and you will always be safe.
Is the body always safe? No. Are you your body? Is that really you? Anybody home? No. It’s not really you. So, then there is also the knowledge in the dimension that you enter after physical dying that this is not really you. But some people know that here. Then it is not the same for every being.
The consciousness that you have, the capacity for awareness is somewhat, not entirely, somewhat predicated on the awareness you have when you die. It is one of the reasons that it is best if you can cross from dimension to dimension without drugs in your body. The reorientation is much easier. Within that dimension, let’s say that is a stopping place; many occurrences are possible. You go right on changing, learning, developing, experimenting, but within a different set of agreements. You don’t have to worry about dropping something on your toe. You are not working with physical agreements. Do you understand so far?
Then you choose jobs, tasks, endeavors, but there is not the whole physical system of economics, of want, of lack, of abundance, of the homeless; it’s not, you’re not doing that in that dimension. Some entities choose to teach, to travel amongst the realms and learn of other dimensions besides that one that you can get to from there, so to speak. Some entities choose to work from that realm to this one through the dream state, through meditation, through inner guidance, to share what is known because in that realm there is no fear and many other things are known to share with children, with those who practice medicine, with those who play music, just as you would share with a good friend.
You have it set up in your minds that to communicate amongst the realms, between the dimensions, is spooky, no pun intended, that it is ‘woooooo’. Yet it is perfectly natural. It is as natural as talking to a dear friend on the telephone. If you had described the telephone or the television to someone four hundred years ago, they would have had much the same feeling. “How could the spirit of the voice be in a box? How could the spirit of the face appear out of a box? Weird goings on.”
So, you have very ready access to that realm. There are other realms that are much more difficult for you to connect with. And it is a natural source of communication and sharing, of healing knowledge, of a sense of safety; you don’t have to wait until you leave your body to know that you are beloved.
Then from there you go on to a myriad of different tasks. There are teachings, there are what you would call classes. When people have traveled in the other realm and come back from that other realm and said, “Ah yes, there are classrooms.” That is just your way of filtering it through the symbols of the physical environment. There aren’t rooms as such with seats and armrests and fluorescent lights, you know. It’s a way of translating. And there are entities who gather and exchange all kinds of creative phenomena and information.
So, now the second part. How can you support someone who is facing their own dying? Well, you are all facing your own dying. It is rather a question of when, not if. Through, if you want practical suggestions, through reading, through accounts of those who have visited and come back, through reading some of the older more formal literature, though some of that has its own superstitions and oh, not even superstitions but rituals and belief systems encoded in it. Through allowing them to speak of their fear if they have it. To be willing to discuss it.
Death in your culture, as we have said before, is treated as a secret, as disgusting...it’s changing some...there have been many many occasions when the person about to make this extraordinary ordinary wonderful journey was not informed. “Shall we tell the patient?” Sure, he is dying. What a strange question. Do you think people don’t know when they are dying? And why not prepare, prepare by drawing out the fear if that is what is there? Prepare by celebrating if that is what is there. Or both. A send off. Chanting, singing, playing rock-n-roll, eating chocolate cake if you’re well enough to do so.
Sometimes you deal with people in this culture who are far more ill in their dying, far more debilitated because of the ways that you can support the body to go on functioning so then the person can go on and on long after they would naturally have gone. There were always diseases that caused physical suffering. Yet, you have found ingenious ways to prolong them, partly out of your reverence for life, and partly out of your fear of death.
So what does that person need? And it’s alright for both of you to be afraid, to scream and want to tear your hair. Everything is admissible. The truth is what heals you, not an idea about what ought to be so. So you can have a peaceful death or a scary death or a celebratory death or a rowdy death if you can begin with the truth of your own feelings and notions and being that will take you where you need to go.
We would like to say that the fact that death has been behind a curtain, that it is not very often incorporated as a normal part of living, that it is gruesome in your beliefs makes it a thousand thousand times more difficult. In other times children were near when people died, when their grandparents died or even their siblings died. So the sadness of the biological and emotional loss is real. It was not mysterious and horrible. It was palpable and sometimes horrible. When it is made mysterious, it is so awful that you can not grapple with it. In some ways your weaponry has sanitized death and deprived you of your natural experience of it. And you keep looking at it on the television in the dramas that are created for the television, you keep looking at it as if you are trying to see it often enough to figure it out. It has become at once commonplace and removed.
Who would want to be shut up and away from people? Or perhaps someone would, but why make that the only option? Hmm. Some of the very deep emotional bonds that appear between people lifetime after lifetime to think of it in the linear sense has come through their presence at each other’s or one or the other’s or both dying. Incidentally, a body does not just die, even if there is an accident, a shot or whatever, and the body is in fact alive one moment and dead the next. It takes a while, differing lengths of time...it depends on the person...for the etheric energies to remove themselves from the surroundings of the physical vehicle. So, even though the physical energies may be cut off like that (snaps fingers), the etheric particles, the energy field withdraws more slowly.
Carol: Is this what is prolonged when a person is, as they would say in the hospital, brain dead, but their bodies are forced to breathe and they are forced to have nourishment even though they have their, they’re completely unconscious and never will be again?
Carol: What does this do to the death of the person, to prolong?
Micciah: The substance of the entity, the awareness usually goes into the next dimension or goes into dream time. They are not spending very much time in their bodies, fortunately. And in the old brain, the so called reptilian brain, there is an aspect, a facet of the life force that holds till the very end, holds till the very end, and it is almost as if the biological wish to remain physical resides in that, in the movement of that old brain. And that, when someone is on machines, that is the last to go. And when that gives up, lets go, surrenders, the body dies immediately or as immediately as one can die under those circumstances, meaning the organs shut down at a different rate. In most cases this is not a good thing to do to bodies. Occasionally it prolongs physical life. The person is somewhat conscious until someone comes, or says good-bye, or completes a physical act of contact. If you have inner sight and you are in a hospital room with someone hooked up in this way, you can perceive with your inner eyes or sense with your intuition the entity, the etheric body, the energy body of the entity over there or over here or up on the ceiling watching the proceedings as the body is being pumped to stay viable, is that right? living.
Julie: That’s the end of this particular segment… of this particular adventure. And this channeling is meant to be a spiritual, emotional, intellectual, heartful, mindful journey that I share with another realm, that I share with my classes and that we all share with you.
Please go over the material, evaluate it for yourself, and know what it is that you think about it. So long.
