Some of Julie’s early work in channel in 1988 where Micciah discusses:
Blocks to receiving: Lack of faith does not block receiving. “Keep asking and asking!” Spirit never becomes impatient. But a stubbornly narrow viewpoint limits one’s capacity to receive. View Section
When a “cherished idea” fails to manifest: May be contrary to agreements made before incarnation. Is never a punishment. Always, “if you ... unwrap the circumstance, you ... find the eyes of Spirit shining at you.” View Section
Co-creation: Personality thinks only in terms of control and blame. One can look beyond it for Spirit’s “power of paradox.” View Section

Micciah: We greet you all, dear friends.

Julie: We do greet you, indeed. This is Micciah Channel, and I’m Julie Winter. Micciah is an energy entity who works with me while I’m in trance, and while I’m in the trance state I have access to a point of view that seems to come from a non-physical realm. This series of programs is drawn primarily from videotapes taken during my regular classes. We want to expand our circle and include your energy and interest in our work.
I want to thank all of you who have been watching and who have written to me. And what you are going to see is me, with my personality and intelligence, awareness, go into an altered state. And while I’m in that altered state, I join with other energies, or another energy, and produce the personality of Micciah. I have, in that state, an awareness that I don’t ordinarily have. And I’m going to respond to questions that my classes have asked me.

Harriet: Good morning — when I do affirmations regarding asking and receiving, will my beliefs regarding not receiving block my manifestation?

   Micciah:  Nope

Harriet: So whether I believe or not — ask?

   Micciah: Ask! Ask, ask! [Laughter]

Micciah: [Emphatically; shouting] All of you! Keep asking and asking! Spirit will not run out on you, will not be impatient with you; Spirit is not a person who really has other things to do — [Laughter] you know — than be bothered by your requests, particularly when you keep asking. Ask and ask. And celebrate what you receive.
You have not left very much room in your culture for celebration of ordinary life. It all must be — what is the expression? — beefed up. It has to be glamorous, attractive, seductive. You want to keep everything smooth and in its phase of newness. You always want to be in relationship with life in the growth phase. 5o, when you see wrinkles (particularly with women, it is unacceptable to be past the stage of blossoming in life) you don’t celebrate them, and say, “Ah — these are all the expressions I have had in my life, coming to live in my face, to roost in my face. I am becoming as beautiful as a weathered tree.” No — this is heresy. You want to be in relationship with your bodies only in a certain way, you see. So then, when Spirit appears in its way — God’s time, Spirit’s time, the Goddess’s time — you say, “Oh, no, not that!”
Now: we are all in favor of people caring for themselves. You could say, “Well, but — certain signs in the body are signs of distress.” Yes, that is true; but we speak more generally.
So, celebrate what comes to you, and what you already have. Look around your life — how wonderful things are already! — and praise! Praise! And your faith will grow like a sunflower. Faith always wants to grow; and if you ask and are disappointed, keep asking, and celebrate life itself. The gift of life.
So your immediate lack of conscious belief is completely all right until it shifts; and when it shifts, it will. There is nothing more detrimental in this situation than to feel you have to pump up false faith.
To go back to what we said a bit earlier: However, it is very hard to have faith in life, in the process of life, if the personality self confines you to very limited...a very limited viewpoint, a very limited set of possibilities, such as, “I only want Spirit to come to me in the form of a youthful face and body, even though I am 65 years old.” You can care for your body, but life processes are what they are. Well, not quite; some of them can be altered. You know what we are saying? That you can limit your experience, both of what Spirit is presenting and of your faith, if you are going to contain it in this tiny area that the personality self finds acceptable.
God is not going to make the world over for you: it is the way it is. Your choice is to celebrate the way it is.
   Does that answer your question?

   Harriet: Yes

   Micciah: Thank you

   Harriet: Thank you.

   Micciah: Please continue

Beth: Good afternoon, Micciah. I have a question.

   Micciah: Please!

Beth: I recently had a miscarriage, and I felt that I had truly asked Spirit for a child, and I felt that I was truly ready. And you’ve said before that there are no accidents in consciousness. So I‘m wondering if there’s some block to my being a channel for a new life, and if you can help me to understand what it might be.

   Micciah: [Whispering] Yes...

Beth: I’m wondering — what happens when you feel you’re ready for something, and you ask, and it doesn’t manifest.

Micciah: [whispering] Yes. [Aloud] What happens when you have a beloved, cherished idea that you have taken care of and nurtured, and it does not manifest? It will be different for different people. It can be that you have an idea but it is not part of your soul’s purpose. And here we are going to fall into very tricky water. Deep weeds.
When you enter an incarnation — falling, as you do, into the illusion of time — you are working within a basically fluid and open frame of reference. However, there are some agreements that you make prior to entering a life, and they are (in terms of your relationship to them, the incarnation’s relationship to them) relatively less flexible.
However, it might be, if you ask for something consistently and it does not occur, that you need to meditate further on guidance and say, “well, perhaps this is something that I haven’t planned for in this incarnation.” So that is one possibility.
And all of this is done by agreement anyway. it was your agreement coming into the incarnation, or the agreement of your greater self. It was not made by some — something else. Yet it may, in a linear sense — in relationship to linear time — be an agreement you made prior to being in this body, so it looks like what you would call fate. But your agreements, whether they are made by the greater self before you incarnate or whether they are made here, are still yours. They are not — somebody else’s.
So. it may also be that the conscious self is prepared, as far as you know — on an emotional level you are prepared for something — but there is something down here that you can’t see, the way you can’t in the physical world see through a mountain. And if you were to create this item that you are meditating for, praying over, asking for, then that one over there could not come to pass in the linear world, and that one you have a deeper connection with. So this one simply will not materialize. It’s another possibility.
It may be that you feel yourself to be prepared, yet there is an unconscious holdout or a memory from one of the other lives — not physical any more, but one of the constellations of lifetimes that are always with you, resonating with you. It could be multiple fears from what we would call other lifetimes of, let us say, childbirth, that come in just as the personal self is prepared, you have checked everything out. (By the way, the idea that you will conceive only at what you would call your ovulation time is not accurate. Although that is a good time it is not the only possible time, because ovulation can be triggered by certain physical and emotional states so that it happens off when you would expect the cycle. We say that parenthetically.)
It may be that an aggregate, a cluster, of memories from alternate lives will interrupt a process because of fear. If you are particularly attuned to a group of lifetimes wherein you suffered agonies in childbirth, or died during childbirth, it may have such an impact that you will not allow yourself to go through that again; and in such a case, if you determine that is the relationship to the block, doing what is called past-life regression could be of value.
In other cases, there was a tremendous commitment to have a child. In your case, Ken, you and Melia had agreed to be parent and child, and that was going to happen pretty much no matter what, and it did.
So, you can keep asking Spirit. Spirit will not get bored or irritated with you. And at the same time, ask for guidance about where to move the block, if it is a movable one, or to be more — ahh — informed about the purpose of the greater self in not wishing to manifest a particular circumstance.
None of it is about being punished because you have been bad. The personality self tends to believe that if it does not receive what is asked for then the self is to blame, or you have been wrong, and bad; and this is a notion that is fostered in many religions, that you are being punished. There isn’t any punishment. Sometimes an apparently desirable event would, in its manifestation, put too much stress on an entity, and therefore (or the probability is that it would) it is not chosen to manifest.
We would like, along these lines, to deal with the question of distortions, in notions that [sigh; slowly and deliberately] people have about what it means to create one’s reality.
Yessss! So much information! You want to shake out — shake your hands — wiggle. [All do.]
[Emphatic and long-drawn-out, with pauses and sighs] When we say to you, “You are... a co-creator... with Spirit... we mean... that... you are immensely powerful. [More quickly] The electricity (to go back to the earlier analogy) — the electricity that you carry — everyone! Everyone. You are all born with it. Some of it. The amount you continue to let in depends on your growth and your choices, but you are born with that as a birthright; it is in your cells. The electricity of God-force, Goddess-force, life force, that you carry is enormously potent. And it is through forming that, through the relationship of deep beliefs, core beliefs, to this substance, this electricity (that’s not really a substance, is it?) — but this vitality.
Here is the vitality. And in your realm, you make form out of it. You make emotional experience out of it. So, your relationship to that vitality makes you a co-creator.
When you have a very deep belief in your low self-worth, let us say — a belief that you took in in childhood, or perhaps in addition carried into this life with you — that belief (like it or not, from a thinking point of view) will start to form this liveliness, shape it into events that will appear in your world as your belief.
Does this make you stupid? No. Can you find Spirit somewhere, wrapped in that belief? Yes — somewhere. Because, if you were to unwrap the circumstance, you would find the eyes of Spirit shining at you.
We will elaborate a little further. Suppose you could create an illness in your body — heart disease, cancer, whatever. In the world of circumstance [smacks hands together for emphasis], the concrete aspect of reality (apparently concrete), this looks terrible, yes? Yet there are many people who have cracked the shell of the circumstance of cancer, heart disease, paralysis, to find their relationship with Spirit was hidden inside.
So... the notion of baaad-nesss attached to circumstance [smack!] — (“See! That was a bad circumstance you created, so your spirit is in bad shape!”) — the notion of goodness and badness attached to circumstance per se is a distortion, and it is a very cruel one. And it comes from the limited beliefs of the personality self.
The personality, as we have said before, opts for comfort. Comfort is big on the personality‘s list. It may be that even within that narrow realm comfort is identified with the familiar and the familiar means that you are always suffering, but for you that would be comfort. But — the personality self evaluates everything as good or bad. The personality self does not have the capacity to go beyond that. It is other aspects of the self that move into the power of paradox, such as, “Spirit spoke to me through this terrible illness,” or, “Spirit spoke to me through a terrible loss.” We are not, either, advocating suffering as a way to learn. But it is the personality self that looks at the [smack!] circumstance, and says, “AHA! Bad bad bad! Stupid stupid stupid!“ And then that judgment deprives the owner of the circumstance of saying, “This is powerful. I am a co-creator with Spirit and I have created THIS! [slaps the floor] So — I am going to find Spirit’s face in this, because I know it’s there.”
Let us say you create abusive relationships, so you say, “Well, why is Spirit in abusive relationships?” Well, if you look at that in your realm — say, “I can’t — at the personality level I treat myself badly; I invite other people to treat me badly, because I don’t think well of myself. Help me!” You can call on the forces beyond the personality to assist you. So, “Spirit shows its face to me through this upsetting and difficult and painful circumstance. I am going to find help — with other people, with Spirit. This has been the signal that I need help. And I am going to ask for it.”
So. It is the judgment of the personality and the need of the personality. The personality does not wish to participate; it wishes to control. “Be fixed!” “Be healthy!” Or, “I get lots of approval for staying sick: good. Stay sick!” The personality self wishes to control, and is using an oversimplified form of metaphysics to express its opinions about control — not about co-creation.
Creation, we know, is very messy. Look at the earth — very messy. Very beautiful, very intense, very powerful. But — mud, slime, frogs, snails, mess, blood, urine. As well as crystals, clear water, ecstatic sunsets. The personality self doesn’t like that stuff.
So it is a confusion between control and participation; and it is the notion adhered to by the personality self — with teeth and claws, we assure you — yes, it is in control; aha! So it takes metaphysical teaching, and says, “AHA! I am responsible for my reality! Great! I can control everything!” And in one way is juiced up artificially by a false sense of power; but the other side of that, the other face, is crushing disappointment, bewilderment, and either cruelty toward the self or toward other people when it turns out not to be about control after all. It was about participation and co-creation and surrender, and all of these complicated things. Not about control.

Julie: That’s the end of this particular segment... of this particular adventure. And this channeling is meant to be a spiritual, emotional, intellectual, heartful, mindful journey that I share with another realm, that I share with my classes and that we all share with you. Please go over the material, evaluate it for yourself, and know what it is that you think about it. So long.
